Freshly Dirty - Modular yoyo design!

4
$ 98.99

The Modular 44 is Freshly Dirty's first yo-yo design with interchangeable rims. By using one standard hub that is compatible with all 3 included sets of delrin rims, one yo-yo can truly act and feel like 3 entirely different designs. The Mod44 uses an O-ring system to keep the rim aligned and spinning smoothly, even after extended periods of regular wear and tear.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Mod44 is open source rim design. Throughout the prototyping process, 3D printing was used to develop new designs and test them in real time. Freshly Dirty supports community members who wish to design and print their own rims. For more information as well as file downloads, click here. For tips and tricks on how to remove and install rims, check out the video below.

C-bearing models come with Supersport Rims installed, D-Bearing models come with Tuner rims installed, and both versions come with extra Coupe & Cruiser rims in the packaging.

I'm so glad they came out with more of these. I bought one when you could only buy them at freshly dirty. Sorry yo-yo expert, I've spent about $2,000 in yo-yos on your site. This yo-yo really plays well. I was expecting it to be gimmicky. The best thing about it are the binds. You can throw this thing out at all different kinds of binds, like the plastic whip, or throwing it off to the side from a trapeze and his brother, or laceration vines, and it just grips and comes in nicely. Using kitty fat. No vibe on the string and just a little fingernail vibe. The rims are a little hard to get on and off but That's good because it makes the yoyo a lot more solid than I expected. My friend with a 3D printer made some rims that were about 9 in and it didn't work. It was a great lesson on why yo-yos are the size they are. I'm waiting for him to make some more rims that are a reasonable size. I have a mega crash that teaches the same lesson. If you don't have one of those I recommend it.
