For thickness, it feels thicker than regular kitty fat and slightly thicker than Sochi fat.

I started buying YYSL Type-X because in addition to the standard Type-X, they were the only company out there I have found that offered an inverse twisted string for lefty's so I don't get looser with every throw. it appears the Inverse is no longer available, but the string itself is what I consider perfect. It is definitely worth spending a little extra on a high-quality string when its what keeps my $100+ throws from hitting the ground. I bought the last of the Inverse Type-X they had and hopefully, they will make more, but regardless I'll still be buying Type-X and I have bought at least 1 bag of all the "premium" strings out there from all the premium companies and have a box filled with bags of premium string that will probably only be put on throws I rarely pick up and only for the color. I personally LOVE the Butane Flame colorway enough that I got 2 pairs of Nike FlyKnit AirMax 360's because they look like they were woven out of the Butane Flame, lol. People ask if I got the string to match my shoes and I tell them I got the shoes to match the string.

I have tried limewire, monkeystring, and kitty string but this is by far my favorite string of all time. I have tried all three of the stringlab varieties and the type x seems best for string tricks. It lasts long and without the loop tied on it is suited for setting your ideal length.

This is a excellent string all-purpose string. I haven't tried any of the super ultra-premium strings that supposedly last for months, but this is definitely better than all the strings cheaper than it.
