I was sent a tube of this string as an extra I guess with an order from Yoyoexpert. I already have a ton of Alphaline that I like a lot, so I just shrugged my shoulders at first and thought it was a nice little bonus. I tried some of this out earlier today because I like the colorway, and this may be my new go-to string. It is really, really nice. It has a lovely tension to it, feels super smooth on the hand for complex string tricks, and has a tiny bit of extra thickness that somehow seems to be the best of both worlds where it's better for whip binds without catching more easily during other tricks. The container alone is going to be my new standard for carrying string, it's really easy to just pull a new string out without getting the whole batch and looks cool too. As others have pointed out, it is a little expensive, but... In the context of string, the difference between cheap and expensive is a few bucks, so why not spoil yourself?

I can understand why people love this string so much, it is excellent string. That said, I’m not sure it is worth double the cost of Kitty Fat which is also a great string. But this does come in some awesome colors

These are wonderful strings. For me they last 4-6 hours worth of play instead of 45 mins. I always just went cheap and bought bulk..like 100 strings for $14. Not anymore. These last so long and allows you to get more play time. A+ product

Now I see what all the hype is about. This string is perfect for someone struggling with whips and slack tricks...even rejections. Yeah it’s a tad thick but after a few throws you get used to it. I am very impressed. I literally can’t buy any other strings besides string lab!!

So i got a batch of YYSL AMMO an Type X strings, and while i prefer the Ammo (I like thick string) The quality of both strings is very high. Being the first premium strings ive ever purchased, i cant compare these to any of the other brands, but i feel like they top kitty string in every way, shape, and form, as far as performance goes. They last for quite awhile and hold tension pretty well. Will definitly be buying more from YYSL.
