The UNPRLD Nation is the signature yoyo of Nate Dailey.

The Nation uses Nostalgia and Flashback as a base, and using Nate’s expertise, refines it for high speed, technical, and acrobatic play. UNPRLD spent a year designing this yoyo, with 3 prototypes to finalize this design.

The result is an all-around stable, long spinning, fast and fun yoyo that is not only well suited for the current competition trends, but adaptable to the future meta as well as trick creation at home.

From Nate:

I think of the Nation as a modernized version of my previous signature models, with a similar shape but some updates in weight distribution. The initial prototype we made was a little bit too center weighted, so we fine tuned the shape slightly to upgrade spin power / horizontal play. Center weight is good for regens and binds, whereas rim weight is good for spin power and horizontal.

This balance was tough to nail, since I’m a regen player, and I also wanted to prioritize horizontal. But the final prototype felt perfect, achieving the best of both. With horizontal being a priority in the 2024 competition meta, SS bimetal is the top choice for most competitors. SS rings allow the Nation to excel at horizontal, while maintaining an overall low weight, for a fast and maneuverable yoyo.

The Nation also has just enough center weight to nail regens and binds. I’m a big fan of the 7068 material, used for the body, and I’m stoked with how The Nation turned out!
