So so

This was my first bimetal, it seemed like a good entry point from the $50 mono metal range. It's a pretty fun throw for something different than my usual smaller mono metals, but I'm not really impressed and often find myself switching back to a heavier, denser throw.

What it did do is teach me that I'm not really interested in lightness.. for a bigger yoyo I think I mine as well have some more weight.. as a bimetal the rims don't seem to be adding much. The size is tough to work with too, I'm 5' 11" and have pretty big hands, so I just expect to not do some of the tight string/intricate stuff.

I know I shouldn't rely on spin time, but even just for the sake of fun combos, this throw doesn't offer much flexibility and peters out quicker than I expected, even right out of the box. I can get more creativity and mid-throw pause-and-think time out of a trusty ol DV888. And after a combo the DV888 still returns with more power for that satisfying catch.

Overall it's not a regret, but if I were to choose again at this price level I'd try something with more weight and power and if going into the bimetal realm just kick up a few bucks to something that is more widely discussed and reviewed online. I'm a lowish moderate player so I'm sure it can do amazing things, but it's not really a throw to advance with.
