Sochi -   Replacement Bearings.

Sōchí was founded when Luckey Li realized that he needed better, yet cheaper equipment as a competitor. AS a 5-time Canadian National Champion he knows a bit about yoyoing and for a while the idea of starting his own equipment brand sat in the back of his mind, without being acted upon. During the winter season of 2018, Josef Chung, a friend of Luckey’s, came to visit him. Luckey presented the idea and asked if it was a good one or not. The answer was obvious, and Sochi was born.

Ceramic Bearing:
Balls, inner ring, outer ring — almost everything you see here in our ceramic bearings is made from high quality ceramic. Except for the ball cage, made from Nylon to give the bearing a unique sound and feel. Absolutely no metal parts means absolutely no rust; a little soap and water is all you need to keep these fresh and clean.

Steel/Ceramic Bearing:
Stainless steel outer ring and inner ring with high quality ceramic balls inside. They do not need to lubed at all, and you won’t need to buy 100 of them at a time, hoping to get maybe 10 of them that are good. Each one will be tested before shipment.

Sochi T Bearing:
These are our centering, wing-shaped bearings. We wanted to be able to provide yoyoers with a high quality, smooth bearing, right out of the box. They do not need to lubed at all, and you won’t need to buy 100 of them at a time, hoping to get maybe 10 of them that are good. Each one will be tested before shipment.

Sochi Concave:
These are our concave, bowl-shaped bearings. We wanted to be able to provide yoyoers with a high quality, smooth bearing, right out of the box. They do not need to lubed at all, and you won’t need to buy 100 of them at a time, hoping to get maybe 10 of them that are good. Each one will be tested before shipment.

Bearing seems ok, but Sochi labeled it T but packaged a concave.

Ordered a T bearing. Bearing came in a bag with the “T” mark checked, indicating a T should have been in there. Instead, in the package is a concave.

Played it anyway, and it seems fine. Nothing to write hone about, just a good low price bearing. I hesitate to order again because who knows if I’ll ever get a T bearing, or if this was just an isolated incident?

Regardless, seems like you’ll get a fairly good bearing either way.

Great Concave Bearing

These are my go to bearings for pretty much all my throws that don't come with concave bearings or are or really well tuned by default. Never had any problems and they sound great.

Overpriced ceramic bearing

Got the $40 ceramic bearing. It's smooth, solid built and have the entertaining ceramic sound.
4 star because it's SUPER overpriced. I also got some full ceramic bearing from A**Ex***** which cost < $10 and they feel exactly the same. Couldn't tell any difference in spin time / smoothness / built quality. Which made me think maybe Sochi just import from the same factory and tag it at $40. :)

Bearing didnt last long

I ordered one of the concave and T shaped bearings for my dark magic 2 and got my order pretty quickly and the bearing shapes look great and fit into my dark magic 2 no problem and i dont have a bunch of time to play so i probably yo yo for about an hour each day, and for the first day on my concave vearing i had no problem, but on the second day of using the concave bearing i found the bearing first got really loud and soon after started to feel the ball bearings biting and sticking inside the bearing while spinning, and soon after that the bearing would lock up and the bearing is pretty much unusable only after maybe 2-3 hours of play, i am now using the t shaped bearing hoping ill have no problems.
