SF YoYos - Connor Seals Signature Yo-Yo!

2
$ 80.00

SFyoyos unveiled Connor Seals' yoyo, the Motive, in the Fall of 2019, and its restock has been eagerly anticipated ever since. Flash forward 4 Years, and the Motive is back!! After SFyoyos announced their retirement, Connor didn't want the Motive to retire as well, so he asked and got the okay from them to continue making the Motive!

From the moment you throw it, the Motive exudes a competitive edge and power. Its inner ring bi-metal construction amplifies spin power and stability, complemented by an angular profile perfect for high-speed and horizontal play.

This yo-yo embodies everything Connor requires for stage competition and serves as the motivation you need to put in the work. This past summer of 2023, Connor utilized it to secure a commendable 4th place at the World YoYo Championships.

Nice yoyo at a good price, just lacks spin time

After having this yoyo for about 4 months I can say with confidence that it is a good yoyo. It has a very floaty and nimble feel to it that makes it hard to put down. I also like how even though the yoyo isn't super wide, it has a very flared out catch zone which makes it easier to hit more difficult tricks without feeling like it is getting in the way of more intricate tricks. The wide shape and nimble nature of this yoyo make it very good for horizontal. The yoyo came smooth and with a super quiet bearing which just made the yoyo feel very premium and nice. The one thing I don't like about this yoyo is the spin time, it's perfectly adequate for most tricks you throw at it, but with this being the signature yoyo of a top level competitor I would expect it to have a bit more spin time to be able to power though longer combos and still have spin time left at the end. I also found the binds with this yoyo to be rather slippy with normal thickness string which doesn't help when you get to the end of a combo and are losing spin. Overall a good yoyo, but if you are looking for a powerful competition yoyo I would look at either a heavier inner ring bimetal (like the original motive) or an outer ring bimetal.

Wow!

almost five years later, this yoyo is still dope nearing 2024! This is the only inner Bimetal yoyo that I honestly like. It's more powerful than the YYF vulture or GWAY Refractory, etc. I love the shape and small diameter. Works great for just about anything, really. Nice for an EDC or whatever.

Excellent Throw

Good throw for competition or just for fun. It plays just amazing. It works great for horizontal tricks, or vertical tricks alike. Good throw for anyone who can yoyo. Another great release from Sf.

Not just a competition throw.

Sure this thing would slay in competition, but it also has an element of elegance on the string. It doesn't have a whooping amount of spin time, but it has more than enough to blow through any combo with ease. The feel on the string is truly unique. It has a fun and floaty feeling on the string. It glides through tech, speed, slack, whips, and, horizontal effortlessly. However unlike some bi-metals I've tried, it is really fun to throw around and it feels somewhat floaty but stays very stable as well. So in conclusion, if your thinking about buying this yoyo as your competion throw, or just as an everyday carry, DO IT.
