The Royal 1 is my current favorite yo-yo out of the dozens of yo-yos that I have. The Royal is the epitome of the General Yo tradition of smooth and flawless. It suits my style perfectly...extremely smooth and extremely stable. It spins a very long time without any flaws or baubles. It stays stable with no leaning and no vibes and it has a powerful spin that never slows do down until I easily finish my most complex routines.
To me, the Royal is a wonderful bargain...out-playing and out-spinning any of my more expensive yo-yos that I have acquired over the last 50 years of doing string tricks and routines!

The Royal 1 is great!!! it feels soft in the hand due to the bead blasted finish and the smooth curve of its H-shape. It feels like a full sized yoyo, however it feels like its on the smaller size of full sized yoyo’s. It feels solid while in play, yet light enough to speed through tricks. The matador spikes are also a nice touch for horizontal finger spins. If your looking for an all around good, refined, well crafted, and fun to play with yoyo buy the Royal 1, you won’t be disappointed.
