The Par Avion really pushes the boundaries of what is possible when it comes the utilisation of aluminium for a yoyo around 65 grams, and is a real testament to the talented team at One Drop. Their knowledge of the material and machining has helped them to create an oversized yoyo that retains the speed and manoeuvrability of a smaller yoyo.
The Par Avion plays light on the string and is easily manoeuvrable. It is able to handle most of your tricks, although due to it's large size, certain intricate movements may be difficult to pull off. The yoyo seems to have quite thin wall sections and as a result produces some really nice pings during whip elements. Grinds are not fantastic I have found, this may be due to a larger surface area coming into contact with my finger than most yoyos. Regens are also not a strong point for this yoyo. Binds are satisfying and not too slippy or too grabby.
The Par Avion is an amazingly well designed yoyo, sure to satisfy lovers of large yoyos (and even those who aren't) without the usual drawbacks. Fast and light on the string, but not the most well rounded yoyo for all tricks. I'd give it a 4.5/5. It's incredibly fun but does have a certain novelty aspect to it.
