I started yoyoing back in the 80's, then joined the craze in the 90's and 10's for a little bit, but wasn't really into it like I was in my youth. I initially had some bad luck with a couple unresponsive yoyos and was about to call it quits. Then one day I stumbled across a review by Throws & Brews for the "semi-responsive" Deep State and decided to give it a try. Thanks, Tom.

One Drop somehow combined the best parts of the old school and modern yoyoing with the Deep State. It doesn't play exactly like my old Duncan Pro, but all it took was some minor ajustments to my style and I was back in business. I was doing all my old tricks and mad loops, and even mastered a bunch I could never do on the old fixed axles. From there I slowly worked my way into unresponsive play, and now my son and I regularly trade tips and tricks.

The yoyo itself is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. It is, without exaggeration, the perfect size and weight for its purpose. It feels great in the hand, fits nicely in the pocket, is dead smooth, spins for days, and has a finish like silk. Binds are clean and snappy with every string I tried from cotton Duncans to Zipline Prestige.

How great is this yoyo? Let me put it this way: have you ever taken a yoyo to a classy wedding? I took the Deep State to one and it fit right in.

From everyone else’s review seems perfect but honestly on mine from the first throw it was viby and some noise had to smooth it out with my finger but it is still a really good yoyo i really like it alot the weight is very nice but still prolly just mine idk but could be a bit more smoother instead of me having to make it smoother and quieter still dopest yoyo i ever bought

I’m loving this throw. It has that One Drop quality you expect, it’s nice and smooth, very silent, well thought out, it’s fantastic! I love that we have full sized side effects on here so all my extra side effects can easily be changed out. Stalls work wonderfully and it can handle some pretty good tricks as long as you’re conscious about string placement.

I made an error, it deserves 5 stars.

With the alleycats from CoreCo the top slimline responsive yoyos available at the moment, and my second most used. It is very well made and could handle some abuse.
I prefer the 650b a bit. It plays a little different.
But after a couple of throws one can adapt. Or different side kicks can change the deep state a bit.
